Overview:

Cobra has been leading the charge in bringing 3D printing technology to golf over the past few years, and the Agera putter is a prime example of their innovation in action. As one of the first consumer products in their lineup to feature this cutting-edge tech, the Agera is a mallet-style putter with a sleek, futuristic design that instantly grabs attention.

The Tech:

What sets this putter apart is its cleverly designed 3D-printed nylon lattice structure. This lightweight core redistributes weight to achieve a high Moment of Inertia (MOI), boosting forgiveness. Paired with a 261g steel chassis, it keeps the center of gravity low for added stability. Up top, a 27g forged aluminum crown frees up weight, allowing more mass to be strategically placed around the edges. To cap it off, 53g of tungsten weighting in all four corners ensures off-center strikes still feel solid. The finishing touch? A SIK Face insert with Descending Loft Technology (DLT), featuring four descending lofts to deliver a consistent roll and launch angle, no matter your stroke style.

The Look:

Visually, the Agera leans into a balanced, almost square shape with a modern, forward-thinking aesthetic. The 3D-printed lattice peeks out along the sides and runs down the center as a slick alignment guide. It comes in a few color options—black-on-black, silver-on-silver, and a special Volition limited edition (more on that in a bit)—giving it some personality to match its performance

The Test:

This test was conducted with my personal Volition Edition Agera putter, with a face-balanced version measuring in at 2° gravity angle. The patriotic colorway sets it apart from the black and silver variations. The putter has a solid, yet slightly muted feel. Only extreme left or right misses can be felt due to the stability of the head.

We test putters a little differently here. After some warm up time, to get used to the putter, 10 strokes are taken at 3ft, 6ft, and 12ft. An average score is taken at each distance, giving an accurate estimate of the number of strokes it will take from each distance. Those averages are in the box below. Score numbers are for reference only, and not indicative of everyone's performance using this putter.

The Conclusion:

The Cobra Agera is a rock-solid mallet putter loaded with tech that can benefit golfers of all levels. It’s got a subtle, muted feel and sound at impact, which keeps things smooth. The look might not be everyone’s cup of tea—it’s bold and futuristic—but if you get the chance, take it for a spin. It’s a performer worth trying out.
