Cobra Golf has been pushing the boundaries of golf club design for years, and their latest release, the LIMIT3D series of putters, is no exception. Launched on April 18, 2025, these limited-edition putters are a testament to Cobra’s commitment to innovation, blending cutting-edge 3D printing technology with premium performance. If you’re a golfer who appreciates forward-thinking design and a putter that feels as good as it looks, the LIMIT3D series is worth your attention. Let’s dive into what makes these putters a game-changer.
Revolutionary 3D Printing Technology
The LIMIT3D putters are fully 3D-printed using 316L stainless steel, a process made possible through Cobra’s ongoing collaboration with HP’s Metal Jet technology. Unlike traditional casting or forging methods, 3D printing allows Cobra to craft intricate internal structures—like lattice frameworks—that optimize weight distribution without compromising feel or sound. This one-piece construction eliminates the need for lightweight soleplates or drilled pockets, which can sometimes dull a putter’s feedback. The result? A putter that offers a premium, milled-like feel with enhanced stability and forgiveness.
Cobra’s Senior Product Line Manager, Chad DeHart, sums it up well: “The impressive performance gains of the LIMIT3D irons made it an easy decision to apply the same technology to putters. We are excited to introduce these new models and believe players will be impressed by their performance.”
Two Models, Four Configurations
The LIMIT3D series includes two distinct models: the Enzo, a high-MOI mallet, and the Pista, a traditional blade. Each model comes in two versions to suit different putting strokes:
Enzo: A face-balanced mallet with a single-bend shaft and half-shaft offset, perfect for golfers with a straight-back, straight-through stroke.
Enzo-30: A mallet with a slant neck, offering 30 degrees of toe hang and a three-quarter shaft offset for players with a slight arc in their stroke.
Pista-45: A blade with a plumber’s neck hosel, 45 degrees of toe hang, and full-shaft offset, ideal for moderate arc strokes.
Pista-60: A blade with a small flow neck, 60 degrees of toe hang, and half-shaft offset, designed for stronger arc strokes.
The Enzo’s open-air midsection, supported by thin beams, pushes the center of gravity forward while maintaining high moment of inertia (MOI), making it easier to square the face at impact. The Pista, on the other hand, uses a rear lattice structure to save weight, allowing Cobra to boost forgiveness while keeping the classic blade look. Both models are paired with KBS CT Tour Putter 120 shafts and SuperStroke Zenergy 2.0PT grips for a premium setup.
Descending Loft Technology for Consistent Roll
One standout feature of the LIMIT3D putters is LA Golf’s Descending Loft Technology (DLT). The face features four descending lofts (4°, 3°, 2°, 1°) from top to bottom, designed to deliver a consistent 1.5-degree launch angle regardless of where you strike the ball. Whether your hands are forward or back at impact, DLT mitigates loft variations, ensuring a smooth, end-over-end roll. The Pista models also include a 6061 aerospace-grade aluminum insert for a soft, crisp feel, while the Enzo relies on the precision-milled stainless steel face for responsive feedback.
Limited Edition, Premium Price
With only 500 units of each model available worldwide, the LIMIT3D putters are a true collector’s item. Priced at $599 each, they reflect the advanced technology and craftsmanship involved. Available online at cobragolf.com and select retailers, these putters are likely to sell out quickly, following the trend of Cobra’s previous LIMIT3D releases. If you’re interested, don’t wait too long to grab one.
